Pancreatic pseudocyst

Pancreatic pseudocyst is a possible complication of acute and chronic pancreatitis of the pancreas. It consists of a cavity containing necrotic debris, blood, and fluid. It is not a true cyst because it has no epithelial lining. With time, the wall becomes fibrotic and may calcify.
