Normocytic anemia

Normocytic Anemias are anemias in which there is a normal mean cell volume (MCV), but a lowered red blood cell count. This condition may occur if the patient bleeds profusely, or if there is an underproduction resulting from various secondary diseases such as carbon monoxide poisoning.
