Objectives
At the end of this lecture you will know:
- The clinical presentation of CNS tumours
- The difference between primary and secondary CNS tumours
- The differences between CNS tumours in adults and children
- That adult CNS tumours are most likely to be one of the following: metastasis, glioblastoma, oligodendroglioma, meningioma, schwannoma
- That childhood CNS tumours are relatively common, and common examples include pilocytic astrocytomas and medulloblastomas
- The general behaviour and possibilities for treatment of these tumours
- In addition, you will have seen gross and microscopic features of representative tumours
