Neuroendocrine carcinoma

Neuroendocrine carcinoma is a type of cervical carcinoma that arises from neuroendocrine cells that are distributed throughout the epithelium in the body. Microscopically, small cells with neurosecretory granules are identifiable in a specimen.

This disease has a very poor prognosis.
