Mastectomy is a procedure usually used to manage breast cancer in the breast. There are three major kinds of mastectomy:

  1. Radical: includes pectoralis major and all lymph nodes
  2. Modified radical: The pectoralis major and some nodes are spared
  3. Simple: no lymph nodes removed
