Glomerular filtration rate

Glomerular Filtration Rate (GFR) is the amount of filtrate formed per unit time. [1] The normal value is 110 ml/min (160 L/day; 20% of RPF). Each nephron filters about 55 nl/min.

• K_f = ultrafiltration coefficient
• P_u = net ultrafiltration pressure

• S_c = Creatinine synthesis rate
• [C]_p = Plasma concentration of creatinine
